Just a little bit of these popular styles that never go out of fashion, the colors are amazing as they contrast each other. Love the combination of a bright pink, lavander and dark purple, yeahhh definitely this one is for the girls!!! :o)



 

 

You also have a contrast with these two colors, someone told me those are the "Canes" colors, (University of Miami) regardless to whom it belongs, they do create a great contrast and it is a combo combination.

Making awareness for S.A.A.M!!!

APRIL is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. It is considered to be a month where people can raise public awareness about sexual assault, as well as, sexual violence. The statistics are appalling:

Therefore, we the public must ensure that certain actions cannot be allowed and we must educate our youth for their own safety.  Pass the word around and let's spread its consciousness !

Supporting the end of Domestic Violence!!

      As I started to create ideas on making a different design for my friendship bracelets, definitely the notion of creating awareness came to my mind.  Why wear just a simple friendship bracelet when I could make one that can have its own ideas behind?  ... Well, my first idea was creating consciousness on breast cancer since I know people who  have been affected by these terrible disease, but now these Awareness bracelets are going and going to create awareness on many different situations.

     This one is the PURPLE RIBBON, which supports the idea to end Domestic Violence.  It is really shocking to find out how many cases happen everyday and probably we are forgetful about it.  Did you know that around 1.3 million women and 835,000 men are physically assaulted by an intimate partner annually in the United States??  
     For this reason, my Awareness bracelet is to support the end of this daily tragedy in many homes and hopefully as I wear it, people will ask ... what does that friendship bracelet mean???? and that's how I will create the awareness needed.

HORIZONTALS ... my newest design!

      My latest design is the HORIZONTALS design. I have decided to use the tradional PEACE colors to show my deepest condolescenses to all the families of 9/11.  In a day like today, let's embrace PEACE and let's keep in mind a quote from one of the greatest influences in music ...  "When the power of LOVE overcomes the love of POWER, the world will know PEACE" ~ Jimmy Hendrix

Miami's school spirit!!

    Here I am back to show you my city's favorite school colors!!
No Gators, no Seminoles ... lol, but yes to the FIU's GOLDEN PANTHERS and UM's HURRICANES. 

     Both schools are very popular in South Florida, of course, UM's Hurricanes dominate the football list since FIU's football team is just beginning to rise.  But that does not mean, we, Golden Panthers are out of sight! ...(yes, I said "we" because I am an FIU alumni).    

       The Golden Panthers colors of Blue and Gold has been in our city since the year 1965.  FIU is the newest state university in this area.

     The spirit of UM, the Hurricanes, have been getting more fans than ever and it is considered to be extremely popular among Miami's young crowd.  Their Green and Orange colors are the representation of UM's historic beginning since 1925.   

The spirit is on as we approach the fall, the beginning of football season and the beginning of school classes as well.  So let's get into the school spirit and represent who we are and to whom do we belong to.  Have a great week everyone, until next time!!
